I have discussed How to count the occurrence of a specific word in MS Word before. Now I'll tell you another technique but this time, it will not just count the occurrence but also highlight the match words in the document. I only tested this on MS Word 2007. Here how it goes:

1. Open the MS Word document to search for.
2. Press CTRL+F to show the Find and Replace dialog.
3. Type the word to search and click More button to specify additional options.
4. Click Reading Highlight and choose Highlight All from the drop down list.

5. It should display the count of occurrence.
6. Once you close the Find and Replace dialog, you will see the highlighted matched words in Yellow.

This tip should also work in MS Word 2010.

That's It! Happy Computing
