Count The Occurence Of A Specific Word in MS Word Document

Last Friday, my Boss asked me an interesting MS Word question, "How can I count the occurrence of a specific word in MS Word?". For example, she specifically wants to count the frequency of the word "Project". There is no built-in MS Word feature for such task but there is a work around. Here's how:

1. Open your MS Word document and make sure the cursor is on the beginning of the document.
2. Press CTRL+H or Go to Edit>Replace to show the Replace Dialog.
3. Type "project" in both "Find What" and "Replace With" fields.
4. Hit the "Replace All" button.

MS Word will pop-up a message notifying you that an nth instance of "project" were replaced. Of course in reality there were no changes because you replace a text with the same text.
